Continue Reading →After several months in development, we are thrilled to announce the release of AffiliateWP v1.3. This release introduces several highly requested features and we cannot wait for everyone to get their hands on it.
The highlight of this release is the introduction of pretty affiliate URLs. Since version 1.0, affiliate URLs have looked like this:
site.com/?ref=1
or
site.com/page-name/?ref=1
The ref part could be changed but not the overall structure.
With version 1.3, we have added support for “pretty” affiliate URLs. We have also included the ability to use user login names in place of affiliate IDs.
This means that the following URL structures are all valid:
Version 1.3 also introduces official support for referral tracking in Gravity Forms. If you are selling products or services through Gravity Forms, all you need to do now is go to Affiliates > Settings > Integrations and check the box for Gravity Forms:
Also introduced in version 1.3 is Affiliate Coupon Tracking for iThemes Exchange.
There were over 25 unique changes, some large and some small, made in version 1.3. The complete change log can be viewed here.
If you run into any issues during or after the update to version 1.3, let us know by opening a support ticket.
