AffiliateWP records a commission when someone your affiliate sends checks out for a Paid Memberships Pro membership level, at the rate you set for the level or the affiliate.
A Commission on Every Member Your Affiliates Bring In
When a visitor arrives through an affiliate’s link and checks out, AffiliateWP records a pending referral for that affiliate, then marks it unpaid once the order succeeds.
AffiliateWP adds a note to the Paid Memberships Pro order naming the referral, its amount and the affiliate, and a discount code linked to an affiliate credits that affiliate too.
How It Works
Turn on Paid Memberships Pro
Check Paid Memberships Pro under AffiliateWP › Settings › Integrations.
An affiliate sends a customer
The customer arrives through the affiliate’s link, and AffiliateWP records the visit.
A commission is recorded
When the customer completes a membership checkout, AffiliateWP records a referral for that affiliate.
What You Can Set
A rate for each membership level
Set a referral rate on any membership level, or disable referrals on it, under Affiliate Settings on the level’s edit screen.
Affiliate discount codes
Link a Paid Memberships Pro discount code to an affiliate, and every checkout that uses it credits them.
Subscription renewals Pro
With the Recurring Referrals addon, each renewal payment earns a new commission, with its own rate and an optional limit for each level.
Refunds follow the order
Refund or delete an order and AffiliateWP rejects its commission, as long as you haven’t paid it yet.

Every AffiliateWP plan includes the Paid Memberships Pro integration. Commissions on renewal payments use the Recurring Referrals addon, which is part of Pro. Compare plans.
Only with the Recurring Referrals addon on Pro. With it, you can set a recurring rate and a limit under Affiliate Settings on each membership level.
Yes. Edit the level and enter a Referral Rate under Affiliate Settings, such as 20 for 20%. A rate set on an affiliate overrides it, and a blank field uses the site’s default rate.
The affiliate who owns the discount code. AffiliateWP gives the referral to the code’s affiliate, even when the visit came through someone else’s link.
AffiliateWP rejects it, if you haven’t paid it yet. A commission you’ve already paid stays paid. The Reject Unpaid Referrals on Refund setting controls this, and it’s on by default.
