How to Install and Use the Checkout Referrals Add-on for AffiliateWP
The Checkout Referrals add-on allows a customer to select an affiliate at checkout (via a select menu or an input field) who will then receive a referral commission on that purchase.
In this article, we’ll show you how to install and set up the Checkout Referrals add-on for AffiliateWP.
1. Installing the Checkout Referrals Add-on
Before we get started, be sure to install and activate AffiliateWP on your WordPress site.
Once you’ve got AffiliateWP installed and your license is verified, you’ll be able to quickly install and activate the Checkout Referrals add-on.
After installing the Checkout Referrals add-on, the next step is to configure Checkout Referrals.
2. Configure Checkout Referrals settings
To configure settings for this add-on visit AffiliateWP » Settings » Checkout Referrals.
Here you can customize the description text that will be displayed, require a selection of an affiliate if desired, and also change the sort order, and display preferences.
And that’s it! Now you can ensure that an affiliate will be credited for every purchase.
