How to Install and Use the Allowed Products Add-on for AffiliateWP
With the Allowed Products add-on you can choose which products on your site affiliates can earn referrals on. Installing and activating this plugin will immediately block all products from generating referrals. This add-on is especially useful if you have a lot of products, and only wish to allow referrals to be earned on a few, specific products.
The Allowed Products addon is compatible with the following integrations:
- Easy Digital Downloads
- WooCommerce
- MemberPress
In this article, we’ll show you how to install and set up the Allowed Products add-on for AffiliateWP.
1. Installing the Allowed Products Add-on
Before we get started, be sure to install and activate AffiliateWP on your WordPress site.
Once you’ve got AffiliateWP installed and your license is verified you’ll be able to quickly install and activate the Allowed Products add-on.
After installing the Allowed Products add-on, the next step is to configure your settings.
2. Configuring Allowed Products
Once the Allowed Products add-on is installed and active, navigate to AffiliateWP » Settings » Integrations and enter the IDs of the products you want to allow referrals for. If you have variable products setup in the supported integration, you must enter the parent product ID, not each individual variation product ID.

Note: By default, when this add-on is installed and activated, all products will be blocked from generating referrals, meaning the referrals will be created with a 0.00 value. Because of this, if you have the setting enabled to Ignore Referrals with Zero Amount, then no referrals will be created.
