[affiliate_area] shortcode

When AffiliateWP is installed, it automatically creates the Affiliate Area page using the Affiliate Area block in the WordPress block editor. This page provides affiliates with a dedicated dashboard where they can log in, track referrals, generate affiliate links, and view earnings.

However, if you’re using a third-party page builder, you can use the [affiliate_area] shortcode to display the Affiliate Area manually.

Adding the Affiliate Area Using the Shortcode

If you want to place the Affiliate Area on a different page or integrate it into a custom design, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new page in WordPress by navigating to Pages » Add New.
  2. Enter a title for your page, such as “Affiliate Dashboard” or “Affiliate Portal.”
  3. Insert the shortcode [affiliate_area] into the content editor.
  4. Publish the page, and it will function as your Affiliate Area.

This method is useful if you’re using third-party page builders that don’t support the Affiliate Area block natively.

By default, the AffiliateWP plugin sets up the Affiliate Area block, which is the recommended way to display the Affiliate Area. The block includes:

  • Affiliate Registration Block – Allows users to sign up as affiliates. This block can be customized to add password fields, rename form fields, or remove unwanted fields.
  • Affiliate Login Block – Enables existing affiliates to log in.

To customize the Affiliate Registration form, refer to this guide: How to Customize the Affiliate Registration Form.

That’s it! AffiliateWP automatically creates the Affiliate Area using the Affiliate Area block. However, if you want to place it on a custom page or add in a page that’s designed using a third-party page builder, you can do so using the [affiliate_area] shortcode.
