Version 1.5 released!

After two months in development, we are thrilled to announce the release of AffiliateWP version 1.5. This release includes several highly request features, including ones related to shipping, referral editing, per-product rates, and even a new integration!

Excluding Shipping Costs

In version 1.5, we have added an option to exclude shipping costs from referral calculations.

If shipping costs are excluded, a referral on a $120 order ($100 subtotal + $20 shipping), will be calculated off of $100, not $120.

This setting applies to all e-commerce plugin integrations that support charging shipping fees.

MemberPress integration

MemberPress, an excellent and extremely popular membership plugin, is now supported out of the box. To enable referral tracking in MemberPress, simply go to Affiliates > Settings > Integrations and enable it.

Referrals history in Affiliate Area

We have introduced a new Referrals tab in the Affiliate Area that displays a list of all referral records for the affiliate account. This gives your affiliates a better overview of their performance and serves as a historical record for their account.

Affiliate referral rate changes

In version 1.5, we have slightly modified how affiliate referral rates work. In previous versions, the rate used to calculate the referral amount went in this order:

1. If set / available, the product-specific rate was used
2. If no product rate is set, use the affiliate-specific rate, if set
3. If neither of the above exist, use the global rate

After some internal discussion, we decided this was not quite correct, so the new order is as follows:

1. If set, the affiliate-specific rate is used
2. If no affiliate-specific rate is set, use the product-specific rate, if set
3. If neither of the above exist, use the global rate
