Pay Every Affiliate Their Way, All at Once
When it is time to pay your affiliates, you want it fast, accurate, and uneventful. AffiliateWP pays every affiliate by the method they are set up with, all at once, and flags any problems before the money goes out.
Affiliates are not one-size-fits-all. One prefers PayPal, another wants Stripe, a loyal customer would rather take store credit.
We rebuilt AffiliateWP’s payout system from the ground up to handle exactly that. Here is what is new.
One payout covers every method
One payout pays every affiliate by the method they are set up with, whether that is PayPal, Stripe, or store credit. You see one total and a per-method breakdown, so you know exactly where the money is going before you send it.
Paying each affiliate by their own method is the default. From the redesigned Pay Affiliates screen you can scope a payout three ways: by date (preset ranges like this month, the last 30 days, or everything unpaid to date), by who is included (individual affiliates or whole affiliate groups), and by payout method (pay just your PayPal and Stripe affiliates now, store credit later). When you need to, you can route the whole payout through a single method instead.
See every payout, and retry failures in one click
Each payout you make is grouped into a batch under a new Payout Batches tab, where you can track its status and progress. The Payouts tab still lists every individual payment; Payout Batches groups them by run. You can see at a glance which batches completed, which are still processing, and which mixed multiple methods. If any payments in a batch fail, you can retry them in a click, or retry through a different method without rebuilding the batch.
Let affiliates choose how they get paid
You decide how each affiliate gets paid, in whichever way fits your program. Set a default method for everyone under Settings > Payouts. Override it for the exceptions on any affiliate’s Edit Affiliate screen: the partner who asked for Stripe, or the affiliate you want on store credit. And if you allow it, affiliates can pick their preferred method right in the Affiliate Area or Affiliate Portal, so you are not fielding emails about it.
A “How you’ll be paid” section makes it clear to each affiliate exactly how their earnings will arrive, and the Payout Method column on the Affiliates and Referrals screens shows you the same thing at a glance, before you generate anything.
Pay affiliates in store credit, alongside everyone else
Store credit is a real payout method, selectable the same way as PayPal or Stripe. Set it as your default, let affiliates pick it, or assign it per affiliate, and store-credit affiliates are credited in the same payout as everyone else. No separate step, no marking referrals paid by hand afterward to award credit.
Catch problems before money moves
Payouts should not leave you guessing. The new flow surfaces likely problems during the preview stage with pre-flight checks, so you see issues before you send rather than after. A referral is only marked Paid once its payout actually settles, so your records reflect what really happened.
When a payout needs the affiliate, AffiliateWP follows up
Some payouts wait on the affiliate to do something first, like connect Stripe or confirm a PayPal address. Rather than leaving that for you to chase, AffiliateWP emails the affiliate with method-specific next steps and retries the payout automatically once they resolve it, so a stalled payout sorts itself out without you tracking it. The follow-up email and the auto-retry are both on by default, and you can turn either off in Settings > Payouts. For example, an affiliate with no PayPal account set up shows as Unclaimed rather than Paid, and because PayPal returns unclaimed funds after 30 days, you see the days remaining to claim it. You can also verify your PayPal Payouts setup with a Test Live Credentials check before you send.
Manage your list faster, without losing your place
The screens you work in every day got a matching redesign. Affiliates, Referrals, Visits, Creatives, and the Payouts screens now share one cleaner layout, built to scan fast: affiliate avatars, amounts aligned for quick comparison, and each affiliate’s status right next to their name. On Visits, long landing-page and referring URLs collapse to a readable path with the full link on hover; on Creatives, the preview leads each row so the right creative is easy to spot. And every screen stays usable on a narrow display, with the columns that matter held in view while the rest scrolls.
You also act on those rows without leaving them. The actions you reach for most appear on hover, the rest tuck into a tidy menu, and a row clicks straight through to edit. Accept or reject an affiliate, change a referral’s status, or pay an unpaid referral with the new Pay quick action. Each happens in place, with no page reload. And you can select several referrals at once and pay them together in one payout.
Payouts no longer live on a page of their own. Open one and it slides in a drawer over the list, so the details are a quick glance instead of a detour, and you never lose your place in the run. Use your arrow keys to move from one payout to the next and review an entire batch without closing the drawer once.
This release also includes a range of behind-the-scenes fixes and compatibility improvements. See the full changelog for the complete list.
