WP Simple Pay
AffiliateWP records a commission on every WP Simple Pay payment your affiliates send, with Lite or Pro, and links each one to the payment in Stripe.
A Commission on Every Payment Form
When a customer who came through an affiliate’s link pays on a WP Simple Pay form, AffiliateWP records a commission for that affiliate. It covers one-time payments, Stripe Checkout and the first payment of a subscription.
Each referral’s reference is the Stripe ID, and it opens that payment or subscription in your Stripe dashboard.
How It Works
Turn on WP Simple Pay
Check WP Simple Pay under AffiliateWP › Settings › Integrations.
An affiliate sends a customer
The customer arrives through the affiliate’s link and pays on any of your payment forms.
A commission is recorded
AffiliateWP records the referral for that affiliate, and marks it unpaid once the payment goes through.
What You Can Set
AffiliateWP adds no settings to WP Simple Pay forms. These apply to every form.
Your usual referral rates
Every form uses your default rate, or the affiliate’s own rate when they have one.
No self-referrals
A payment made with the affiliate’s own email address doesn’t earn them a commission.
A link to Stripe
Each referral opens its payment or subscription in your Stripe dashboard, in test or live mode.
Subscription renewals Pro
With WP Simple Pay Pro and the Recurring Referrals addon, each renewal payment earns the affiliate a new commission.
What You Need
Plan
Every AffiliateWP plan. Commissions on subscription renewals need Pro.
Works with
WP Simple Pay Lite or Pro, connected to your Stripe account. With Pro, Stripe webhooks need to be set up.
Keep in mind
A refund in Stripe doesn’t reject the commission, so you’ll need to reject it yourself on the Referrals screen.
Set Up WP Simple Pay
The setup guide covers turning on the integration, setting up Stripe webhooks for WP Simple Pay Pro, and checking referrals.
