Novashare
With a snippet from Novashare’s docs, a logged-in affiliate who shares a page with Novashare’s buttons shares their own affiliate link.
Share Buttons That Carry the Affiliate’s Link
Novashare adds social share buttons to your pages. Add the snippet from Novashare’s AffiliateWP guide, and when a logged-in affiliate clicks one, Novashare adds their affiliate ID to the link they share.
Visitors who open that link are tracked by AffiliateWP like any other affiliate visit. The snippet is written and documented by Novashare, not by the AffiliateWP team.
How It Works
Install Novashare
Run Novashare alongside AffiliateWP, with its share buttons on the pages affiliates promote.
Add Novashare’s snippet
Copy the snippet from Novashare’s AffiliateWP guide into your site, for example with the free WPCode plugin.
Affiliates share their link
A logged-in affiliate’s shares include their affiliate ID, so the visits they send are credited to them.
What You Can Set
The snippet has no settings. It follows AffiliateWP’s own referral variable.
Only for logged-in affiliates
Other visitors share your plain page URL. The affiliate ID is added only when an affiliate is logged in.
Your referral variable
The ID goes in the referral variable set in AffiliateWP, such as ?ref=5.
What You Need
Works with
Novashare, and the snippet from Novashare’s AffiliateWP guide.
Keep in mind
Novashare says the snippet doesn’t work with Bitly short links, so those shares don’t carry the affiliate ID.
